Where words reach their limits, the artistic language of
Jana B. Pfeiffer begins.

Her works speak of moments, moods, and inner images of a world as it is—
and as it can be imagined.

Expressive Figurative Portraits that hold worlds

Jana B. Pfeiffer’s work moves between figuration and expansion.
The representational forms the starting point, while color, structure, and light open the pictorial space beyond it.

Material and Process

At the core of her artistic practice is the combination of painting with selected materials.

She works primarily with oil, complemented by other media such as acrylic, pigments, and drawing elements. Each is used deliberately and contributes to the conceptual and visual impact.

A recurring element is the integration of fabrics with their own origin. Their patterns and structures remain visible and become part of the visual language.

Pictorial Space and Surface

Through the interplay of color, material, and light, works with visual and tactile depth emerge.

Some pieces extend beyond the traditional canvas and expand into a spatial dimension. In this way, open visual spaces are created that can be read like landscapes and lead the viewer’s gaze further.

Light and Movement

Light is a central element of the composition.

Three integrated crystals capture and reflect brightness. As a result, the appearance of the works changes depending on perspective and surroundings.

The works respond to space and viewing, remaining visually dynamic.

Approach

The choice of materials and techniques does not follow a fixed system, but an open, exploratory process.

This results in works that are not closed, but can be understood as visual movements between inner experience and the external world.

“I do not create images in the classical sense, but pictorial spaces in which new perspectives can emerge.”
